Hip hooray! The first domain has been officially migrated!

As of today, the internet domain ERBENET.NL  has been removed from Robohost.nl and transferred to Strato.NL.
I spent a good part of the day testing yesterday's migration and transferring other sites running erbenet.nl. (such as aenr.erbenet.nl, although that doesn't really mean anything...) Finally gathered courage and transferred the domain. First canceled the subscription at Robohost, then retrieved the migration code there. Then requested the domain from Strato, entered the migration code there... And then just wait...  At 20:15 the redeeming message came: the domain name has been transferred! And then of course you immediately type www.erbenet.nl and see what happens...

Which takes me on a new quest. And at 20:30 I also learned a lot about IP flushing. Both Windows and Linux keep an internal list of which IP address belongs to which name. Then there is no need to start a DNS search every time. But if a domain is suddenly linked to a different IP address, you run into problems. Also solved again. And now I can just type in the browser ajna.erbenet.nl and then come to the new site of the practice that looks just like the old one! Hooray! Deep sigh! Tomorrow I'll try to install the e-mail properly, because the server mail.erbenet.nl suddenly no longer exists and so a bit of mail will fall between the cracks. Anyway, 99.% of what comes in is junk anyway, so it doesn't matter that much...
