Something different!

I saw all kinds of port numbers active in the main screen of TinyCP, with IP addresses in strange locations. Are those the culprits? The problem is that I have opened ports in the router for Transmission, the BitTorrent client that runs on my home server. But since I reinstalled that server from scratch, Transmission hasn't been enabled yet, so those are ports leading to "nothing" and that's risky. At the same time, it strikes me that the hacking thing of the past few weeks only became topical after the installation of TinyCP.

I did some digging in the world of server management software and now I have found something else. It's called aaPanel and at first glance, it does a very nice job, albeit that...
Well, you always have that in computer land: there is always an "albeit that..."
Albeit that it does not provide an integral email solution for Ubuntu servers. And I refuse to install CentOS now.
So we're going to continue our search... or back to TinyCP...

... to be continued without a doubt ...
